The Ridge Roars Back To Life This Sunday

August 3, 2017 (Fultonville, NY) – Sunday night ‘The Ridge’ will come back to life with the sound of fan approved horsepower at the fastest ¼ mile on dirt featuring a regular program of Crate Modifieds, Limited Sportsman, Pro Stock, Mini Stock, and Sling Shots. Most importantly it’s fan appreciation night along with a driver Meet & Greet on the front stretch.

Crate Modified point leader Chris Curtis holds a 10 point advantage heading into Sunday’s racing program over Jim Introne Jr., with Alissa Cody just 13 points back in 3rd. Tim Hartman Jr. is hot off his 2nd win since joining the field at ‘The Ridge’ along with drivers Dave Constantino, Chad Edwards, and Jeremy Pitts who have moved into the top 10 in point standings.

Limited Sportsman point leader Kathy Bellen is looking for a better night than the last time the fastest ¼ mile on dirt was in action, as she suffered some damage in an early race accident that ended her evening. Currently Kathy has a four-point lead over Mikey Jackson who has a feature win to his credit this season. Third in points is Dave Richer fresh off a feature win dedicated to his late father Ed “Omar” Richer with Marty Kelly III only eight points behind him also with a feature win to his credit.

Luke Horning sits on top of the Pro Stock point standings with Dennis Joslin a mere five points back in 2nd. Gus Hollner joins the points battle only one point out of 2nd and six out of 1st, with Ivan Joslin and Kyle Hoard rounding out the top five in point standings for the full-fender division. Nick Stone is a house of fire currently winning three in a row.

Chris Andrews seems to have a lock on the 4-Cylinder Mini Stock division points, but behind him it’s an all out battle for the runner up spot. Pat McSpirit leads his son Zach McSpirit by only six points. TJ Marlitt and Andy Graves round out the top five in the Mini Stock point standings.

Sling Shot point battle is a dandy with Brian Tobey Jr. leading the way with Bryce Cherko just one point behind in 2nd. Just a mere two points behind Cherko sits Jim Pollard in 3rd, with Scott Sprague and Brett Putnam rounding out the top five in point standings.

Garrett Poland leads the Jr. Sling Shot point standings over Blake Mahieu, Sloan Cherko, Derrick McGrew Jr., and Matthew Backus.

This Sunday is Fan Appreciation night at the track along with a meet and greet. Fans will be treated to some giveaways, but the treat is getting to walk onto the track and meet drivers and get autographs. Make sure to get your favorite ‘rige runner’s’ autograph.
